Carl Forslund PSA has been exhibiting and competing his works of art since 1942. Immediately
after graduating from high school in 1945, he enlisted in the army, ending up in the 20th Air Force stationed on Guam.
There, he became staff artist for the 20th. After being discharged in 1947, he attended the University of Michigan,
graduating in 1950. He worked in the family furniture business for the next 40 years, painting when he could and
working exclusively in oils – until he discovered soft pastels. Since then, Carl has worked solely in this medium,
receiving innumerable awards in both national and international competitions. Most recently, he was inducted into
the prestigious MASTERS CIRCLE by the International Association of Pastel Societies.
