Collin Fry Carl Forslund Armand Merizon Jim Markle The West Michigan 8 is a group of eight friends and respected artists who have all made West Michigan their home. The group is modeled after the renowned Group of Seven, a troupe of similarly styled painters established in Canada in the early 1900s. Since 2007, the 8 exhibited together throughout Michigan. With Armand?s passing in 2010, the 7 artists share a deeper respect for time spent together painting and discussing the philosophy of art. |
